HelloFresh Review

I have been wanting to try HelloFresh for quite some time now. Just the thought of having perfectly portioned meals sent straight to my home was intriguing to me. I typically make dinner every night and we always have enough leftovers for lunch the next day, so eating out is extremely rare for us. Ever since our daughter started eating real food, our entire outlook on fast food and restaurants changed. We went from eating out for every lunch meal and at least one dinner meal a week, to maybe going out to dinner once a month. We obviously want our daughter to be eating fresh foods and as minimal processed foods as possible. It's not that we never eat fast food or order take-out though. Since I make dinner almost every night, I do come across those days where I just don't feel like cooking. Some nights it's because of how my day went but most times it's because I lose creativity.

I love how HelloFresh takes almost zero thought. You simply select Classic Plan, Veggie Plan, or Family Plan and they do the work for you! They send you perfectly portioned packages of FRESH food (seriously more fresh than the food I get from my local grocery store) and instructions to go with it. They create new unique and delicious meals every week! You could have meals sent to your door every single week and you would never get sick of them, like most of the meals I cook. Since I make dinner almost every night and try to make it generally healthy, I run out of recipes, even with Pinterest.

Along with running out of family and Pinterest recipes, I am NOT creative at all. I'm usually pretty good at following a recipe but that's about it and I hardly ever attempt anything complicated. HelloFresh meals take less than an hour to make (typically 30-45 mins) but look like they should've taken hours! I feel like a gourmet chef! They are meals that I would've never even attempted prior, because they look so hard to make. The instructions are easy to follow and truly take the guesswork out of cooking. With HelloFresh, I have never come into the issue of not having an ingredient or measuring a seasoning incorrectly. HelloFresh will definitely be a replacement for those nights that I just don't feel like it.

The three meals we received were Shawarma Meatballs with Bulgur and Sumac Veggies, One-Pot Tortelloni with Kale and Parmesan Breadcrumbs, and Sweet Apple Pork Chops with Cauliflower Mash and Snap Pea. The box includes nutritional info but you can also look up the nutritional info of each recipe on their web page. HelloFresh was so excited to hear that I loved the meals and the entire experience, that they are offering all of you a generous discount of $35 off your first box (for new customers) with code: MASONDIXONHOME35

Whether you are at a loss for creative dinner ideas, or just want a fun cooking experience at home,  HelloFresh is for you. These meals are created for literally everyone. Each meal we received was a level one for difficulty, so even those that aren't familiar with cooking can create a gourmet meal at home.
